It takes a very special horse to be a therapy horse, and our horses are no exception. All our horses are able to tolerate the different sights, sounds, and people each class has while taking care of their riders. Their day to day job is never the same and they must adapt themselves to the current rider they have during their class. All Star accepts donations of horses and if you are interested please contact our office. All horses go through a 6 week trial period to check for soundness, training, and temperament. During this trial period, horses are desensitized to the different sights and sounds of a therapeutic riding facility and are trained to tolerate the different riding styles that occur at our facility. Horse care at All Star can be very expensive and we are always looking for sponsors to help with farrier costs, vet bills, and the cost of feed and hay for each horse.
